Former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis has offered Oleksandr Usyk a clear piece of advice: if you’ve collected every belt and beaten the biggest names, consider walking away at the summit.
“Only the fighter can decide when it’s time to stop. But if you’re already undisputed, took all the belts and beat all the big guys—why wait for that first loss? I left at the right time, and I’d advise Usyk to do the same,” Lewis told Sky Sports.
According to the legend, Usyk would have fit comfortably even in Lewis’s era—his style and mentality evoke Evander Holyfield, and he has already proved he can navigate the toughest opposition.
The only question now is whether Usyk will heed the advice—or step into the ring a few more times.
