Arturo Gatti Jr., the 17-year-old son of late world champion Arturo “Thunder” Gatti, has been found dead in an apartment in Mexico. According to reports, he was discovered hanged under circumstances eerily similar to his father’s death in 2009.
The news was confirmed by his coach, Mo Latif, and the family’s former bodyguard, Chuck Zito. Mexican authorities are investigating, but the official cause of death has not yet been released. The boxing community has expressed condolences to the family and called for a thorough investigation.
